Architectural Design

Brief, concept and architectural drawings that turn your ideas into a clear, buildable design.

Every successful project starts with a clear brief. In the design stage we work with you to define what you need, understand the property and its surroundings, and develop a concept that responds to both. This stage corresponds to RIBA Stages 1–2.

What the design stage includes

  • Project brief and a discussion of your aspirations and the way you live
  • Analysis of the existing property and its context, including neighbouring buildings, daylight and privacy
  • Concept design and a series of design options
  • Architectural drawings that define your vision

A collaborative process

We refine the preferred scheme together with you, then develop it into a design that is ready for the planning stage. Where a project requires them, we coordinate with structural engineers, drainage consultants and other specialists.

What happens next

Once the design is agreed, we prepare and submit your planning application and Building Regulations drawings. If you are planning to extend your home, see our house extensions service.
